I have been working here at the learning centre as a tutor since around 2004. Prior to being a tutor, I was a learner on the course.
When I first became involved with the learning centre as a learner, the only thing I wanted to learn was how to do the "email" thingy that everyone was talking about and nothing else. However, the learning process for this new skill sparked an interest in computing and I was fortunate enough to be offered support and resources to pursue this interest.
To cut a very lengthy story short, after a few years of hard work and determination, I was offered a position as a tutor. Five years on and I am still here, doing something that I am passionate about. I continue to find being involved here, invigorating and rewarding.
